Join us for a weekend of camaraderie, outdoor skills, and relaxation in the stunning Boundary Waters! From January 17-19, 2025, we’re hosting a special Winter Camping Adventure at Lake One, and we want YOU to be part of it.
Location: Lake One, Boundary WatersDistance: 3-mile snowshoe trek into the wilderness
This isn’t just your average camping trip. This is a chance to disconnect from the noise of everyday life, learn valuable outdoor skills, and connect with fellow veterans in the serene, snow-covered beauty of the Boundary Waters.
What to Expect:
Hot Tent Camping: We’ll set up hot tents equipped with wood stoves, floor insulation, and cozy cots to make your winter experience as comfortable as possible.
Outdoor Skills Classes: Whether you’re a seasoned camper or a beginner, you’ll learn essential winter camping skills:
How to pack and pull a sled
Harvesting firewood
Setting up and managing a wood stove
Primitive cooking on a wood stove or open fire
Camp breakdown and winter survival techniques
Ice Fishing (pending ice conditions): Test your skills on the frozen lake, and perhaps reel in a catch to share around the campfire.
Winter Wonderland: After a 3-mile snowshoe trek into the wilderness, we’ll settle in at a remote, peaceful location, making it the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature’s beauty.
