About The Event
Join us for the 6th year of our flagship Prairie Dog Hunting event at Bad River Bucks and Birds, set in the stunning landscapes of South Dakota. Building on the success and excitement of the past five years, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss. Get ready for high-volume shooting, unforgettable moments, and a truly relaxing rifle hunt experience.
This year, we will have exclusive access to hundreds of acres of prime prairie dog hunting land, with shooting distances ranging from 50 yards to over 800 yards. Last year’s longest shot reached an impressive 800 yards, and this year’s event promises even more action. We’ll be hunting at least three out of the 40 different prairie dog towns available to us, ranging from 20 acres to 400 acres, ensuring plenty of opportunities for thrilling shots and endless fun. Participants can shoot up to 200 rounds per day!
In addition to prairie dog hunting, enjoy fishing at the private pond located just 600 yards from the lodge. The pond is stocked with bass, offering high-action fishing in a beautiful, serene setting.
This hunt is perfect for those looking to test their skills with different firearms, calibers, and bullets in a variety of conditions, particularly wind and distance. With no early mornings, no long walks, and numerous targets, it’s the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.
