Fly Tying and Fly Fishing

Join Band of Brothers Outdoors as they partner with Lund's Fly Shop and Cabbage Creek Custom Rods for an unforgettable day of trout fishing, tailored specifically for veterans! On Saturday, May 10th, 2025, six veterans will have the unique opportunity to learn the art of fly fishing, with a focus on fly tying, fishing techniques, and river safety.

The day will kick off with an instructional session where participants will learn how to tie flies and understand their various uses in different fishing conditions. Attendees will also be guided through the process of what to look for when wading in the creek or river—vital knowledge for any successful fishing experience.

After the classroom portion, the group will head out to the scenic Kinnickinnic River in River Falls, where they will enjoy guided fishing for a few hours on one of the area's most beautiful waterways. With expert guidance from seasoned fishing professionals, this event promises an enriching experience for veterans to connect with nature, learn new skills, and enjoy camaraderie with fellow veterans.

Important Notes:

• Transportation: Veterans will need to provide their own transportation to and from the event.

• Fishing License: A valid Wisconsin fishing license is required for participation.

• Food & Drink: Veterans are encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages for the day. A sack lunch will be provided to ensure everyone is well-fed during the event.

• Veterans will need to provide their own waders for this event.
