Bad River Bucks & Birds Turkey Hunt 2025

This is a spot-and-stalk hunt that will take place in the hardwood timber river bottoms of South Dakota, an area known for its high concentration of Merriam turkeys. You will be accompanied by staff member Jarad Thiele during the hunt.

Veterans participating in this hunt are allowed to harvest one tom per hunt in either Unit 41A or 50A. You may use the weapon of your choice for the hunt.

Bad River Bucks & Birds offers some of the finest wild turkey hunting opportunities in South Dakota, this fully guided hunt provides an excellent opportunity for veterans working toward a grand slam, with access to high-quality birds.

The hunt package includes meals, lodging, daily maid service, and the services of experienced guides. Participants will be responsible for providing their own firearm, ammunition, and transportation to and from the hunt.

In your essay, please explain why this hunt is meaningful to you and what it would mean to you to participate. The hunt will be awarded after February 28th, 2025.

Please note that this hunt requires a certain level of physical endurance, as it involves spot-and-stalk hunting through the hills and river valleys of South Dakota.

We ask that you apply only if you are fully committed to attending, as this is a high-cost event with all licensing provided. A no-show would undermine the integrity of Band of Brothers Outdoors and prevent another deserving veteran from having this opportunity.
